How to Contact Shein Customer Service

Shein doesn't make their support channels as obvious as you'd expect. We've spent time testing each method — here's what actually works.

Live Chat (Recommended)

This is far and away the fastest option. Most sessions start within 5–10 minutes during normal hours. To access it: open the Shein app, tap your profile icon, find "Support" or "Help Center," then select "Live Chat." On desktop, look for the chat bubble in the Help Center.

One thing that caught us off guard: the chat routes you through an AI bot first. If you need a real agent, type "agent" or "human" until it escalates. Have your order number ready from the start — agents will ask for it.

Support Tickets

Use tickets when your issue needs documentation — a photo of a damaged item, evidence of a wrong shipment, or a written record for a refund dispute. Go to the Help Center, pick your issue category, fill in the details, attach photos, and submit. In our experience, responses take 24–48 hours on normal days, and up to 3–4 days during sale periods.

Don't submit multiple tickets for the same issue — it can actually slow things down rather than speed them up.

Email

Tricky. Shein doesn't prominently list a direct email. Some regions see an email option in the Help Center; others don't. If it's available, expect 48–72 hours for a reply. Attach photos and include your order number in the subject line. Honestly, chat or tickets are more reliable than email.

Social Media

Shein is active on Instagram, Twitter/X, and Facebook. Some users get responses through DMs — Twitter/X seems most responsive. But treat this as a last resort or a way to escalate a stuck unresolved issue, not as a primary support channel.

Things We've Learned Testing Shein Support

After spending hours navigating Shein's system across multiple test orders, here's what we'd tell a friend:

  1. Always use the app. The website's support interface is clunkier and sometimes missing features the app has.
  2. Take screenshots before you contact support. Capture the order details, tracking status, and any visible product issues before starting a session.
  3. Be specific. "Order #12345678 — received blue dress instead of black, photos attached" gets resolved faster than "my order is wrong."
  4. Choose Wallet for faster refunds. If you're okay with store credit, Shein Wallet refunds usually clear in 1–3 business days. Card refunds take 5–15.
  5. Don't panic about tracking gaps. Shein ships internationally and tracking can lag. Wait until the delivery window closes before contacting support about non-delivery.
